The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Training Device Technician at the Miami Training Campus in Miami, Florida.  The Training Device Technician will maintain flight simulators and associated training equipment.

This position is expected to be 100% on-site.  The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at the Miami, FL location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device;

  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted equipment.

  • Assist with repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software;

  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components;

  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators;

  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment;

  • Troubleshoot to isolate faults and repair faulty components;

  • Work under limited supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers, and/or 5+ years in Aircraft Avionics Maintenance

  • 3+ years' experience in troubleshooting and testing hardware and software.

  • 3+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years' experience in maintaining CAE, TRU, L3, and/or FSI Full Flight Simulators

  • Experience in assisting in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.

  • Associates Degree

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range:              59,500 – 80,500
