Job Summary:

The Contract Logistic Support (CLS) Program is looking to staff an AN/TPY-2 Hardware Maintainer in support of a Forward Based EUCOM assignment. This position is based out of El Paso, TX and will require, at minimum, a one-year assignment at a Forward Based EUCOM location with extension offers contingent on strong performance and team contributions. The selected candidate is expected to provide hardware maintenance support of the AN/TPY-2 system in all states and modes of preventative & corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the radar.

This position does not offer relocation.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • The AN/TPY-2 Maintainer will support and assist the Site Lead with review of all ALCS program data to ensure that all required data has been entered to include ITR’s, calibration records, PMCS, and other areas as required and contains sufficient information for Failure Review Board evaluations.
  • The AN/TPY-2 Maintainer will assist in planning for installation of Change Notices Interfacing as needed with Engineering and site personnel to ensure success and assist with maintaining all PMCS.
  • The selected candidate must retain a mission ready focus and always maintain a deployable status.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience - additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be experienced and familiar with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and test.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude with tools and demonstrate an understanding of mechanical assemblies. 
  • Able to dis-assemble and assemble and understand the principles of mechanical failures.
  • Ability to be flexible with work assignments to include deployment to work locations.
  • Experienced in the troubleshooting and operational checkout of radar systems.
  • Strong ability to identify required job orders, account for the actions in ALCS and see the task to completion.
  • Documented experience on DoD or Missile Defense Programs.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an extreme desert heat environment.
  • Logistics experience and ALCS knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in past work performance.
  • Must possess strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Attended and completed the AN/TPY-2 Common Core course and OJT or has US Army THAAD experience.
