Job Description:

The Electronics Test Technician is an integral part of the manufacturing team and performs acceptance testing on complex avionics equipment to ensure products meet quality specifications. Technicians will engage in fault isolation for test failures and verification of repairs while working with engineers to help determine data trends and improvements. Technicians apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing and physics.
Primary Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of routine technical tasks which require an elementary understanding of test objectives.

Provides support to areas such as test, manufacturing or process improvement.

Perform as a member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills. Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit.

Utilizes routine test or diagnostic equipment. Ability to learn and use software tools.

Receptive to mentoring from peers in technical community. Participates in developing new approaches and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in all work processes.

Documentation of job specific activities such as electronic design, modifications, data collection, calibration, and Design of Experiment data.

Able to utilize schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and follow written/verbal instructions, including test procedures.

Operate in accordance with corporate, operations, and division policies, procedures and practices in compliance with accepted business ethics.

Adheres to all applicable environmental, safety and health procedures.

May perform other tasks as requested by leadership within applicable Rockwell Collins guidelines

Capable of applying electronics theory to test and troubleshoot electronic product which requires a moderate understanding of the general technical aspects of the position.

Flexibility to support production schedule requiring working overtime hours and alternate shift hours.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Typically a HS Diploma or GED is required. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, typically 2 years of relevant experience is required.

U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
May be required to lift/move heavy parts and/or equipment weighing up to 55 pounds.

Must be able to comply with personal equipment standards as they apply to manufacturing.
