Job Summary:

The Product Safety, Certification and Validation (PSCV) Test Engineering Organization is seeking a highly-motivated, creative, energetic, hands-on ground Test Engineer to support experimental military and commercial jet engine test activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and daily task coordination, cross functional team leadership, troubleshooting, test stand direction, and execution of developmental and endurance testing.
  • Provide innovative solutions to test requirements, often in a high-pressure environment while working with minimum supervision.
  • Opportunity to join a talented and diverse multi-disciplinary organization while working with highly skilled hourly and salaried employees, as well as partners and customers. Support programs including F119, F135, APU, Advanced and Geared Turbofan.
  • Frequent off-shift coverage and flex schedule to cover weekends (approximately 25%)
  • Travel to offsite test locations within the United States (TN, CT, etc) and occasional travel to test sites around the world. Travel up to 30%.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of prior relevant experience OR Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of engine performance and test data analysis.
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.
  • Self-motivation to plan required tasks and lead a team to achieve significant goals with little outside direction.
  • Flexibility to adapt to fluid customer requirements, priorities, and schedules.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
