Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) has an immediate opportunity for a SW Section Manger / Product Owner supporting the Advanced Tactical Pod (ATP) Tactical EO/IR Systems (TES) product line.  The position will require functional management for 5-10 software engineers. As a SW Section Manger / Product Owner, the candidate will work closely with the SW Chief Product Owner, Systems Engineering, and the SW IPTL to develop and maintain a product backlog and provide technical leadership to an Agile scrum team (2-4 developers).  In addition to being the Product Owner for the team, the Principal Software Engineer will have technical responsibilities, applying technical principles, theories, and concepts associated with software development and design for Object Oriented systems.

Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills Needed:

Must be a US Citizen

Must have a current Secret clearance

8+ progressive experience in software development or related experience

Experience with C++ Programming

Strong people and “change agent” leadership skills; ability to make decisions, effectively delegate tasks and meet challenging deadlines

Experience with the requirements development and flow down process

Experience with system or subsystem level Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V)

Desired Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills:

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

Development experience in Airborne Sensors (Radars, EO/IR, EW, etc.), Data Architecture, Network Communications, Platform Integration, and/or Resource Management is highly desirable.

Experience developing and integrating OMS-based architectures

Integration and test of airborne mission systems from SIL through flight test

Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test Driven Development Methodologies

Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other Real time operating systems

Experience with design, code, integration, and test of large systems.

Experience with working with hardware/software interfaces in test and measurement systems.
 

Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.

Typically has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
