Job Summary:
- Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual who enjoys operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment and can meet the proactive and reactive challenges of supporting the operations on site.
- The Manufacturing Training Lead will serve as the subject matter expert for the creation and delivery of on-the-job manufacturing technical training for the production competencies at the Pratt & Whitney Asheville Facility. This position will partner with business leaders to assess current and future training needs. The Manufacturing Training Lead will develop and implement training plans for new and existing employees to ensure a world class workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Asheville Employees Job Skills Matrixes.
- Create and update on-the-job technical curriculum for production through collaboration with business leaders and subject experts.
- Facilitate and deliver engaging technical training through various modes (in-person, on-line, self-directed, etc.).
- Partner with key stakeholders on the Engineering, Quality Assurance and Operations teams to develop, maintain and deploy training curriculum.
- Conduct assessments to determine necessary technical proficiencies and develop an effective and transferable training program for hourly production employees.
- Work schedule: Onsite and must be willing to support pre- and post-shift training, weekend, and other alternate schedules to meet organizational training needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial Technology, Career, Technical & Adult Education, Educational Psychology or equivalent and 5+ years prior relevant experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including, Grinding, Hole Drilling, Coatings & Thermal Processes and Quality Assurance.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Demonstratable knowledge of a manufacturing environment, ISO standards, Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Principals. demonstrable.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports employee success.
- Earned National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Level 1 credentials within the last 3 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree and 3+ years' experience working in a training organization, developing, and delivering technical training subjects and 5+ years prior relevant experience.
- Proven ability to compete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, execute, monitor, and evaluate).
- Proven ability to coordinate and complete project objectives in a timely and efficient manner and apply proper documentation standards.
- Proven experience designing, writing cognitively engaging technical content, and evaluating deliverables under aggressive timelines.
- Passion for learning new equipment, ideas, and systems quickly, combined with the ability to translate business requirements into employee friendly engaging training material.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
