We are seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to work onsite in Sterling, VA.

Note: This position is contingent on a contract award.

As a Systems Integration and Test Engineer on the TITAN team, you will be developing, integrating, and testing software and hardware solutions for real-time, high availability, military system. COTS hardware is also selected per required specifications but not necessarily the unit under test. Rather, in-house developed software and COTS software applications, database applications, storage server applications, and custom internetworking running on the devices is the primary focus for seamlessly integrating into the system and performing system testing.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Test in the laboratory test environment includes functional testing enhancements handed off to the System Integration and Test Team according to system requirements, functional testing of operational defects corrected in a new software/configuration baseline, end-to-end testing, security testing, failure scenario testing to redundant subsystems, and soak & stress testing.

  • Deployment rehearsals in the test environment are also performed to validate deployment procedures as well as operational instructions documentation of the Operations Team.

  • Manually conduct systems testing with the use of test tools that drive the messaging, logging, and storage throughout the system.

  • Develop test procedures for technical requirements, and system/software design & implementation, and our own operational scenarios not identified by System Engineering or Software/Network Development teams.

  • Conduct hands off system testing to the Operations Implementation Team for deployment into the Production System.

  • Participate in system requirements reviews, software design reviews, understanding design specification and other technical information, test plan reviews, technical support while integrating and testing in the laboratory, and test report reviews.

  • Involved in pre-Integration & test duties including setting up a test environment and writing a comprehensive Integration and System Test Plan from scratch from pre-defined and new operational scenarios for new/enhanced functionality.

  • Conduct integration and system testing with other test engineers in the test environment in order to verify technical requirements, identify and resolve operation defects, validate user documentation and deployment procedures.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to obtain a TS SCI clearance.

  • Must have experience with Systems Engineering or Test.

  • Must have an understanding of Requirement sell off.

  • Must have an understanding of test execution.

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Must have the ability to trave once per quarter, one week in duration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security + Certification

  • Experience working with or developing SW in Java.

  • Experience working in an Agile work environment.

  • Experience with Jira.

  • Basic understanding Linux including basic commands and navigation.

  • Experience with Requirement Sell Off.

  • Experience with DOORS Next Generation.

  • Experience with infrastructure and troubleshooting tools (Rancher, VMWare, etc).

  • Experience with automated testing and automated test development.

  • Experience in product development process design verification testing.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels both internal and external to the organization.

  • Excellent organizational / time management skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced working environment.

  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Ability to work well both independently and within an integrated product development (IPD) team environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
