Job Description:
The SE sub-CPT lead role is responsible for the execution of a subset of Systems Engineering scope for the AN/TPY-2 Programs. The lead is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the technical, cost and schedule across several geographic locations. The successful candidate will be expected to build the individual team’s ability and be able to work with both internal and external customers. They will also be expected to support proposal efforts in support of new business and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team. The SE sub-CPT lead is required to understand system engineering process. Additionally, the lead will be accountable for developing a staffing plan and making hiring decisions to appropriately staff the team.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience leading a technical team

  • Execution of technical, cost and schedule performance

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance (DoD) or ability to obtain within one year.

Desired Skills: 

  • Prior experience with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs

  • Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development

  • Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staffing planning

  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews, (particularly associated with SRR, PDR and CDR).

  • Knowledge of and ability to work within the Agile Scrum development practice

  • Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements

  • Existing DoD Security Clearance

  • PhD/Master’s Degree in Engineering, or relevant discipline (Math, Physics or Business)

 
Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics and 10 years of prior relevant experience
