You will work within the Raytheon Space and Mission Systems product line on the Harold-E-Holt (HEH) Program which consists of three exciting mission systems. Two in Space surveillance and one in VLF communications.
Reporting to the Engineering Design Team Lead in Adelaide, you will form an integral part of the engineering team responsible for the development and review of engineering change documentation, you will get the opportunity to travel to Exmouth to oversee the implementation, test, and acceptance of your engineering work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and performing a diverse range of systems engineering and technical tasks within the defence sustainment environment, including requirements documentation, requirements verification, systems analysis to derive function, trade studies, estimation, investigation, design, modification, and maintenance.
- Maintaining the system design including the specifications and interface requirements.
- Developing and maintaining system level architecture design documents.
- Assist in planning, estimation, scheduling and conduct of engineering tasks including verification & validation activities and risk assessments for regulatory compliance.
- Liaising with the Sustainment Engineering Manager and the Engineering Design Team Lead on project engineering issues, design process and engineering change development.
- Developing solutions that meet customer requirements within cost, schedule, and quality constraints.
- Participating in technical reviews and audits.
- Mentoring junior engineering and technical staff.
You will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent degree with relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of six years’ experience in operational and/or in-service support phases of major programs, preferably in Defence technology and/or construction related industries.
- Experience making improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performance.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering, engineering support, maintenance support disciplines.
- Knowledge of product life cycle and experience with system performance metrics.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
