The Business Infrastructure group at Raytheon BBN Technologies' Cambridge, MA office is seeking a full time Information Technologies Undergraduate Intern for Spring 2024 to support IT staff in administration of equipment. Our team handles all aspects of IT including, but not limited to: core (Cisco) network infrastructure, phone systems, lab setups, server installs and configuration, scripting, automation, and VM management.

We value creativity and initiative. As an intern, you'll work independently and side by side with our full time team, installing and configuring server hardware and networking equipment. You will also work directly with our engineering staff, external vendors, and collaborators to solve complex and interesting problems.
What will you do?
- Writing scripts to make daily life easier
- Maintain data center needs which includes verifying server and equipment health status.
- Tasks could also include organization of data center and disposition of retired servers.
- Support servers running both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Organize and maintain IT document repository
- Perform research and evaluation of products
What will you need?
- Student currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study.
- Familiarity with administration of Windows 10 operating systems
- Experience with PC hardware repair of laptops, desktops, and servers
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
Additional Skills that would be Awesome/ Beneficial
- Familiarity with additional operating systems (i.e. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or CentOS), Ubuntu, Windows Server)
- Experience with scripting
- Experience with basic IT infrastructure services, security, and protocols
