Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Linux environment. 

  • The selected individual should be a seasoned professional contributor who can manage small projects/processes with limited supervision and is willing to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. 

  • You will use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.

  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. 

  • Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.

  • A minimum of 5 years of System Administration experience in Linux and Windows environments

  • Good understanding of networking protocols and concepts.

  • Experience with Data Storage concepts and technologies

  • A working knowledge of Data Backup and recovery

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux fundamentals to include performance monitoring and optimization, troubleshooting, patching, and security hardening. 

  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with developing solutions and documentation for a variety of PC and Server architectures.

  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.

  • Experience with security hardening of Linux systems.

  • Experience with Netbackup.

  • Experience with Monitoring Tools such as LogRhythm and Tripwire.

Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
