The Strategic Platforms department is looking for a systems engineering co-op. The Strategic Platforms department is a growing organization that is focused on leveraging existing and developing new technologies to provide innovative systems solutions to our strategic customers. This position will be onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This position may be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing design, development, integration, test, and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of software platforms and applications.
- Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, while ensuring they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization.
- Troubleshooting hardware-software integration, shared memory and ethernet communication.
- Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests, participate in peer and design reviews, and generate test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality.
- Participate in automation activities to establish continuous Integration, continuous Deployment and DevOps.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in systems engineering process development and deployment.
Experience with integration and test procedures and plans.
Ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
