WHAT TO EXPECT

 

JLR’s Chassis Vertical Function Group is looking for a Suspension Systems Mechatronic Lead Engineer to join the team in developing and delivering new suspension systems from concept to production. Our team is responsible for developing and delivering suspension systems such as active suspension, active roll control, adaptive damping, and air suspension.

 

You will play a key part in the development of major new commodities with the supply base within the group and will encompass JLR’s vision of modern luxury.



Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Design and release responsibility for major commodities within the vertical function group
  • Lead an engineering squad using agile methodologies to coordinate all activities associated with commodity delivery to agreed cost, weight, quality, and timing targets
  • Lead issue management and root cause analysis
  • Provide technical guidance/support to other component engineers to enable them to complete their delivery responsibilities
  • Support advanced product quality planning (APQP) workstream with suppliers

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will be working with and coordinating other engineers to meet targets and goals in bringing the commodities through to delivery, for this you will need to be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills. You will need to bring other skills and experience to the role including:

 

  • Working with mechatronic systems
  • Delivering project-driven workload to cost, quality, and timing targets
  • Working within chassis and suspension
  • Developing and delivering a commodity
  • Stakeholder and supplier management skills
