Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, Design, manufactures and builds turbine engines for the aerospace and industrial applications. For our growing business in Poland / EU Region, we are looking to hire a quality practitioner to be a Pratt & Whitney Supplier Quality Assurance Representative (SQAR). This position covers suppliers in Europe and reports to the P&W SQAR Manager. Work location for this post is in Rzeszow, requiring regular travel across Europe as needed.

The candidate’s main responsibilities will include the following:

  • On-Site Quality Support
  • Review of PFD, PFMEA and CP
  • On-site support of Focused Supplier Audits
  • FAI documentation/hardware review
  • Manage Authorized To Release program (DQR) at suppliers
  • Manage Qualified Parts List for suppliers
  • Supporting Quality communication with suppliers across Europe

Ability to frequent travel is needed to various suppliers in Europe.

Required qualifications / experience for SQAR:

  • 5 or more years of supplier auditing, quality/development and/or quality engineering experience and knowledge of Aerospace quality standards (PW-QA specifications preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (per ASME Y 14.5, PWA360), specifications and procedures.
  • Experience with using various dimensional and visual inspection tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with shop operations, work instructions and quality documentation
  • Knowledge of AS9100
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work with minimal supervision.
  • Technical English in writing and speaking.

Qualifications / experience expected:

  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action process
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management – communication with suppliers
  • Experience with tools such as MS Office or similar spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications.
  • PPAP, FMEA, RCCA and Control Plan experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Team Player.

Education / Certifications

  • A degree in Engineering, Science or related field is preferable; candidates with commensurate experience will be considered.
  • Driver license
  • Valid passport is needed for military license application
