Supplier Development Manager

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage Strategic & Preferred Supplier system readiness via SAS releases and their selections during sourcing phase starting with sourcing board finalizations and serial supports
  • Ensure expected Supplier capacity is available as e.g. SPPM quality performance readiness and serial feasibility
  • Check and request that Supplier tool & equipment and maintenance plans support the project/program
  • Define and manage compliance with relevant POS, PLUS and S-PLUS procedures within Development objectives
  • Review Day to day management of the supplier Development engineers within MQR/PSLC & warranty claims
  • Operational and Strategic support e.g. with distressed suppliers and achievement of Supplier LON purchasing commodity Serial Conditions Readiness reviews
  • Support on time achievements of supplier launch and Project timeline and address these issues to JC expectations
  • Control and request regional Supplier Development efforts for serial production quality claims, support on site MQR level 2+3 issues and review open SAS audit requests
  • Define resolution of issues between Senior JC and serial production suppliers e.g. within MQR procedures, but do not finalize alone at all, moreover forward the results to plant, program and quality management
  • Initiate communication between preferred/ non-preferred suppliers and Adient purchasing & program management
  • Prepare, issue and follow-up action plans with supplier management with Adient management counterparts
  • Control and request removal of quality roadmap and distribute strategic supplier roadmaps out of audits and critical issues
  • Ensure quality goals and tools availability as Six-Sigma processes, P-FMEA and Control Plan distribution
  • Initiate/ monitor ongoing development and improvement of JC key strategic supplier base, further support MBBP strategies
  • Ensure Supply Base Optimization (Reduction) in coordination with Direct and Indirect Purchasing
  • Promote Kaizen, VA/VE and Six Sigma activities over the supply base
  • Request from regional leads SDE at their supplier the guidance for senior SPPM activities as failed serial production DELIVERIES achievements together with JC senior purchasing management and senior SD guide

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • Engineering or technical degree level or equivalent (apprenticeship), further approved Quality Management skills
  • Min. 2 years senior staff or management position in manufacturing, logistics, quality and /or program management
  • Extensive process knowledge
  • Costing experience
  • Negotiation experience
  • Additional all automotive quality audit skills required
  • English - fluent
