Job Summary:

The Strategic Initiatives Material Program Manager (MPM) is a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills.  The candidate for this position must be a self-starter, capable of supporting and executing organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management. The candidate will represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives, oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensures a strong link within and between various Supply Chain functions. The candidate will lead a team of MPMs to develop strategies for our proposal/capture activity within Domain Awareness and Precision Strike portfolio.

This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Develop and execute material program plans, subcontract management plans (together with the Subcontract Administrator)
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Support all gate reviews and activity, EAC reviews, program reviews and risk and opportunity management reviews.
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where Strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flowthrough requirements.
  • Possesses understanding of and applies program management tools.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain financial performance
  • Communicates effectively and routinely on material to the Global Supply Chain Management CBT and within the Program/IBT Team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Raytheon Supply Chain/MPM experience (including Raytheon MPM Certification)
  • Fluency in Raytheon systems, process, and procedures. (PRISM, PDM)
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication, strong presentation, and organizational skills, has keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets and program performance and develop strategies to improve performance in these areas.
  • Advanced degree in business management, finance, or supply chain
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
  • Experience working in the DoD Aerospace & Defense industry and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experience with Supply Chain processes and related systems
  • Program and/or functional experience managing material and developing proposal strategies (SCM, Engineering Program/Integrated Program Team (IPT), Operations)
