Job Summary
Join a fast-growing research team focused on developing new and innovative technologies to ensure the security of connected aircraft and critical embedded systems. Collins Aerospace is seeking engineers to support a diverse portfolio of research and development activities within our Applied Research & Technology team. The primary responsibility of this role is the development of software enabling new technology innovations for securing cyber physical systems. The candidates will have an opportunity to build new state-of-the-art protection mechanisms and apply them to real-world embedded systems.
The person in this role should be self-motivated, serving as a key contributor to the research and implementation of new software technology. Research projects may include multi-level computing systems, secure networking, formal verification, and advanced software analysis tools. As part of our team, candidates will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to new research we are doing in cyber physical system security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a key technical contributor for complex software development projects using languages
such as C/C++, Java, Python, and others.
• Provide subject matter expertise in formal verification of high assurance, security-critical systems • Participate in teams of hardware, software, and systems engineers to develop, integrate, and
evaluate key new software technologies
The candidate must possess at least a Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering along with a strong understanding of operating systems and networking fundamentals. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD and have previous embedded systems and security experience.
