Job Summary:

RTX is seeking a Sr. Test Technician to join our team. The Sr. Test Technician will perform a variety of product tests using detailed work instructions, test procedures, and engineering documents to test and troubleshoot technologically advanced parts/products.  Duties will include set up and operation of testing equipment, troubleshooting, documenting test results, and physical movement of materials on to and off testing platforms. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of initiative, strong work ethic, function well under pressure, and maintain a success-oriented attitude while working with diverse teams.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.

Assists in the development of procedures.

Observes, analyzes, and reports test data; and when appropriate, makes necessary repairs to equipment.

Utilizes various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. May include configuration/data management.

Checks for work correctness.

May assist in directing work, assigning, and outlining tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training)

Ability to work directly from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings.

Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failure trends.

Ability to isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary.

Select appropriate test equipment and configure it based on test specifications.

Effectively communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s).

Ability to interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced Repair/manufacturing/production test environment.

Candidate must be experienced in the use of computers and software applications (both desktop and technical).  Must be well versed in computer architectures and data protocols in order to facilitate networking/interfacing with other test equipment.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Associates Degree in Electronic Sciences

Position requires lifting to 25lbs,

Candidate must be willing to work 1st shift.

Direct experience with Electronic Warfare (EW), Radar System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply, etc.)

Experience using a wide variety of electronic RF/Analog, High Voltage, Digital and other electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters.

Familiarity in these testing areas: Insertion Loss, VSWR, Phase, gain, amplifiers, crystal detector circuits for fault monitoring, Analog to digital conversion, Up converting / Down converting, Crystal/ SAW Oscillating, Multipliers, S-band, L-band and X-Band frequencies.
