At our Peabody, MA MRO facility, we specialize in the repair and special processing of turbine (hot section) jet engine hardware. As the Quality Sr Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the overall Quality Assurance (QA) & Regulatory Compliance (RC) areas at the Peabody site. The position supports the execution of Quality Assurance objectives, while executing day-to-day objectives for the achievement of immediate Quality Assurance goals and leading a team of hourly inspection & NDT team members. In addition, this position has responsibility for supporting and upholding compliance to include Regulatory with various domestic (FAA), foreign National Aviation Agencies (NAA’s), accreditation agencies (AS9100), etc., and internal requirements, while ensuring on-site practices uphold all necessary product and process quality requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets
- Foster a team environment of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning
- Organize and perform Root Cause Problem Solving for complex issues and require extensive analysis and investigation
- Requires ability to influence others to accept approaches and practices
- Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity
- Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes
- Develops and implements operations quality plans and procedures
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance to all applicable requirements and customer standards
- Knowledge of Aerospace Quality assurance standards and Airworthiness regulatory requirements AS9100 and FAA FAR 145
- Repair Station document control/review; oversee revisions; collaborates with Regulatory agencies for FAA/NAA document updates and acceptance as required (such as, but not limited to Repair Station / Quality Control Manuals, foreign Maintenance Organization Supplements, internal Repair Station Procedures
- Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, government regulations and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards.
- Internal auditor trained to perform audits against AS9100 standards on internal processes
- Manage and assist in developing and simplifying standard work for areas related to quality.
- Facilitate the collection of data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities
- Performs product and process audits and quality audits and reviews.
- Reviews quality data and determines if all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.
- Leverage continuous improvement processes and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to improve process performance
- Lead a positive culture and championing diversity and inclusive leadership
- May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one's skills
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA A&P Repairman certification and Aftermarket Aerospace Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) experience.
- Degree in STEM field; Engineering degrees preferred.
- Experienced knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145, QMS and regulatory requirements for repair station maintenance and / or manufacturing operations.
- Working knowledge of Domestic and International regulatory compliance requirements and knowledge in an aftermarket environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 / 9110 and experience with internal and external audit process.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or AS9100/9110 Lead Auditor Certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data, engineering drawings, repair manuals and blueprints.
- LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and/or CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training and experience.
- Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
