Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Operations, this Supervisory role will be responsible for the Diamond Turning and Asphere Production areas within Raytheon ELCAN. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who possesses the internal drive to take our Optical Fabrication in these areas to the next level. The Sr. Supervisor will be responsible for all Key Performance Indicators, inclusive of Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost along with supporting the RTX CORE operating system. Strong collaboration within Operations as well as across all functions within the organization will be a requirement of this role.
Requirements we are looking for:
- Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset.
- Prior working responsibility for the safety, quality, schedule and cost in an AS9100 factory environment.
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in an applicable discipline considered an asset.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Planning and coordinating of resources and activities within the team and other departments as required.
- Must have an excellent knowledge of personal computer systems and software programs Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting company policies and procedures.
- Leadership ability and philosophy focused on core professional values of respect, trust, and team collaboration.
- Candidate must be able to show evidence of self-motivation and possess an excellent work ethic as this role will be very independent.

- Identifying and evaluating unique ways to improve the organization (cost reductions, use of resources, policies/procedures, products); generating useful new ideas, approaches or techniques.
- Demonstrating self-motivation; effective performance is driven from within rather than being conditional on pressure from external factors (e.g. boss, peers, subordinates, deadlines, crises, etc.).
- Acquiring and retaining knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience.
- Staying motivated even when faced with inevitable delays, setbacks and policy shifts.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
