Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible to partner with Engineering and Fab Operations to ensure the success of the RF Components mission to create work products free from defects throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.  The key responsibilities of the RF Components Quality Engineer include:

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

•Implement, sustain, and improve manufacturing quality systems and process controls

•Perform quality inspection and oversight functions to instill and strengthen manufacturing disciplines

•Use quality tools to reduce scrap, product defects, process variation, and manufacturing risks

•Evaluate process control planning and execution to ensure requirements are verified

•Systematize continuous improvement within processes and utilize metrics to assess effectiveness

•Assess engineering work products (Peer Reviews, Configuration Controlled Documents, Change Control Artifacts, Production Data Packages, etc.) to identify and eliminate in-phase defects

•Analyze data to drive root cause and correction action

•Review Risk and Opportunity data to lead projects to eliminate risks and/or realize opportunities

•Investigate failures, participate in failure review boards, support failure investigation teams and drive root cause analysis

Qualifications You Must Have:

•Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience or a MS degree with 3 years of related engineering experience.

•BS-level understanding of chemical processes, physical processes and electrical devices

•Competency with Microsoft Office applications

•Competency with at least one statistical software application (e.g., JMP, Minitab, etc.)

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

•Demonstrated analytical capabilities

•Experience in the application of Statistical Process Controls (SPC)

•Familiarity with the use of quality tools in problem solving and quality planning

Qualifications We Value:

•Existing Secret Clearance

•Microelectronics fabrication experience as a quality, process, yield, or integration engineer.

•MS- or PhD-level understanding of physical chemistry, microelectronics processing, and electrical devices

•Expertise in pFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, APQP, RC Analysis Tools, and 8D Problem Solving

•Experience leading and facilitating multifunctional teams

•Knowledge of RF, Power, Signal Processing and Electronics Systems

•ASQ Certified Quality Engineer

•Six Sigma Principal Specialist/Expert

•Mission Assurance Certification Hardware Level 3 or 4

•Experience presenting to leadership
