Rockwell Collins France Supply Chain Quality Assurance is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to fulfill an opening position as a Senior Quality Engineer at our Blagnac, France facility.

Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and time mangement skills and overall strong quality focus.

They must be able to work within cross-functional teams (coordination with Europe SCQA) to pursue continuous performance improvement in quality and delivery.

This position is responsible for:

    • Developing and qualifying suppliers for Colllins Aerospace, through auditing quality management systems and production processes of suppliers; while communicating effectively with all levels of leadership (both internal and  external).

    • Conducting root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action; Ensuring that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable quality standards and documentation is compliant with requirements; Resolving corrective action completely and timely.

    • Interfacing with customers, suppliers and  various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information, through formal written reports and/or conduct oral briefings on audit project and other related matters and projects.

    • Leading supplier audit preparation, audit and audit resolution.

    • Leading resolution of supplier quality issues, including manufacturing/Program support.

    • Achieving results by exercising insightful judgment and utilizing advances methods, techniques and evaluation criteria.

    • Providing project management guidance and support to projects and processes; Influencing activities of projects by clarifying objectives, approving plans and audit programs, interpreting policy, reviewing and appraising team progress.

    • Planning, organizing, directing and coordinating functional activities to meet schedule and reports progress to Manager and/or Program Manager(s).

    • Working on significant or unique issues where analysis of situatins or data data requires and evaluation of intangibles; Exercising independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

    • Creating powerful, multi-functional networks, both internal and external to Collins Aerospace, involving coordinaion among groups.

    Skills  / Experiences

    • Experience with Supplier Management

    • Experience with continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, 8 Step problem solving)

    • Strong presentation skills – able to analyze and present data to multple level of leadership

    • Able to teach, review, accept supplier submitted Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)

    • Able to review and interpret technical specifications

    • Familiar with EN9100, Quality Management System (QMS) and Part-21G

    • Desirable to have awareness of APQP rrequirements

    • Positive technical and communication skills

    • Able to work with SAP and IT Applications (MS Office Applications)

    • Requires 50% Travel (mainly EuMEA and possibly USA)
       

    Recommanded background:

    • Technical background, eletronics or electro-mechanical preferably

    • Fluent English and French, Additional Language is desirable

    • Auditing – Auditor certification well appreciated

    • Quality management System (QMS)

    • Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis (RCCA)

    • Specification Review and Data Analysis

    • Proces Improvement

    Minimum Five years of experience in aerospace defense or automotive industry.
