Job Summary:
We are seeking Signature Management (Low Observable) Materials Subject Matter Expert to join the Airframes, Radar Structures, & Advanced Materials team.
This design team is committed to excellence supporting our customers and allies worldwide.
You will be responsible for material and process development, characterization and system level integration in support of all Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) product lines and new business.
Material performance predictions and measurement tests of developmental and production systems. You will be expected to perform material measurements of constitutive and RF attenuation properties and generate predicted material performance using Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM) tools. You will work in integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products and aid in the assessment of system performance.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Strong ownership of tasks; ability to function as Materials Lead on Integrated Product Teams
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
-
Ten (10) years of Low Observables or Radar materials engineering experience
-
Prior work experience performing signature management material measurement/testing, or prediction, or design.

Experience in the formulation, fabrication and/or application processes and integration methods for electromagnetic materials and/or composites
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:

Fifteen (15) years of material engineering experience
-
High temperature material experience
-
Experience in coupon and system level RF test methods for electromagnetic materials
-
Experience with quantitative analytical techniques for the characterization of material properties
-
Experience in thermo-mechanical test methods (DMA, TMA, TGA, DSC)
-
Project/Program management experience
-
Ability to support concurrent activities in multiple programs.

Strong written & verbal communication skills
-
Experience in the application of Experimental Design principles
-
Academic or applied experience utilizing RF testing techniques, terminology, and test equipment.

Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
