Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Sr. Manager. The MRO manager is a challenging highly visible position leading a Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT’s) onsite MRO engineers responsible for Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine, Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware sustainment support across Pratt & Whitney’s family of engines at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) solving sustainment problems and managing task execution.  

  • Developing a fully capable, highly proficient MRO project engineering team.  

  • Leading the advancement of MRO project discipline, and continuous improvement of sustainment tools and procedures.  

  • Developing resource plans including coordinating in-house and outsource resources. 

  • Leading all aspects of sustainment synergy with local MRO project, design and structures discipline engineers ensuring successful execution of contract deliverables while delighting our customers.

  • Lead MRO team investigations and developing fielded engine solutions to include but not limited to hardware unserviceable reviews, hardware monitor and health trending for limit updates, Component Improvement Program (CIP) and hardware repair tasks opportunities, support quality hardware/process reviews and hardware supply chain logistics planning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering experience with 10+ years in Engineering, Operations, Overhaul, and/or Program Management in the gas turbine industry OR

  • Advance Degree and 7+ years of engineering experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS/MBA in Engineering.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills and the ability to function across a wide range of disciplines and management levels.

  • Focus on results and the ability to drive tasks to completion. 

  • Experience in Design and/or Structures discipline engineering.

  • Knowledge of Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware is a plus.

  • Knowledge of USAF maintenance procedures and processes. 

  • Working knowledge of SAP, P&W Quality Systems, configuration management process, EVMS, and Team Center.
