The Sr. Manager, HR Partner will provide HR leadership to the Enterprise Engineering client groups within Collins Aerospace.  This role will serve to primarily support leaders by understanding and articulating business needs and translating them into HR strategies and tactics as a key member of the Enterprise Engineering HR team. This position offers a great opportunity for a seasoned HR leader to support diverse, global, and complex organizations within a central function and be heavily involved in global enterprise-wide initiatives supporting the broader engineering function.   

The ideal candidate for this role will have prior HR partner experience who can operate as a strategic thought leader, consultant, and trusted advisor. In this role you will be a consultative business partner to your assigned leadership teams/employees to assess the businesses/functions HR needs and assist with human capital strategies to move the business forward while attracting, engaging, retaining and development our talent. 

This role can be worked remotely in the U.S.  Preferred: Windsor Locks, CT; Charlotte, NC; Cedar Rapids, IA.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic HR support to multiple executives and their teams   

  • Navigate a highly matrixed environment and support development of junior HR partners with informal and dotted line reporting  

  • Leads core HR processes such as talent reviews, change management, compensation planning, and more 

  • Create and drive an approach to impact positive change around employee engagement  

  • Heavily collaborates with businesses and COEs to communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and drive bottom line results 

  • Implements human resources strategies focused on increasing employee engagement, retention, talent health, and implementing plans for DE&I activities 

  • Compiles, analyzes, and reports on key talent metrics and implements data-driven HR strategies and initiatives for monthly operational reviews  

  • Deliver impactful solutions through problem analysis and present solutions to executives for implementation  

  • Facilitate workshops, leader assimilations, listening sessions, as required  

  • Proactively participate in developing plans that will assist with communication and change implementation  

  • Support initiatives such as Engineering Strategic Plan, Strategic Financial Plan, Goal Alignment, and more  

  • Participate on various councils to provide thought leadership on technical talent programs and processes  

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Demonstrated change leadership and provide impactful recommendations for optimization 

  • Strong project management skills  

  • Professional presentation skills  

  • Experience with providing coaching to senior leaders  

  • Demonstrated experience by leading with influence

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
