The Interiors Senior Manager, Global Trade Technology Management will be responsible for the sustainment of the Interiors technology control program globally.  This role will serve as a subject matter expert and liaison to the business in the areas of Jurisdiction & Classification (JC), Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS), and Country of Origin (CoO) in various regulatory regimes. This role will directly lead and develop 2 individual contributors, provide GT guidance to others within the enterprise, and must possess the ability to establish close working relationships with the business unit representatives in the US and internationally.

This position allows for an on-site role type at a US Interiors Business Unit location (preferred Winston-Salem, NC) or remote work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Interiors level Jurisdiction and Classification, Harmonized Schedule, and Country of Origin strategies to gain efficiencies while improving accuracy.

  • Manage the Interiors JC and HS Classification Focal program through recruitment, regular communication, training, auditing, and the establishing effective working relationships.

  • Work collaboratively with members of the Collins Global Trade team and business to identify root causes of JC and HS regulatory violations and internal policy/procedure violations, and to implement robust corrective actions.  

  • Develop, issue, and socialize classification guidance, including regulatory interpretation and the development of training materials and delivery of training.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance or add new functionality to Collins Aerospace classification determination tool and repository (xClass), focusing on JC and HS classification efficiencies and increasing overall classification accuracy.

  • Create standard work and drive for continuous improvements.

  • Assign JC and HS classification in support of business projects and daily needs.

  • Manage the performance, development, and growth of direct reports and business process focals.

  • Domestic and international travel up to 15%

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with US Export classification regulations, specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration or engineering/technical background

  • Leadership, program/project management, communication, and change management experience

  • Experience with APAC/EMEA regional and national classification regulations

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
