Leader for a 24x7 asset management and parts response team. Responsible for the efficient planning of inventory assets, ensuring proficient & timely response and execution of customer orders and requests, and leading the team that responds to the customer orders and requests. This individual needs to be a strong leader who can lead and develop people, learn and understand the technical processes and guidelines of Global Trade and Collins Aerospace policies, and consult other on the correct navigation of these guidelines and processes. Great opportunity that brings visibility with Executive Leadership in the Avionics business.

This is an onsite role located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role is eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for oversight and leadership  of  the Avionics Global Asset Management and Aftermarket Parts organization that supports Collins aftermarket  order administration & delivery,  from developing LRP and AOP plans, Strategic initiatives, material forecasting, & planning inventory to meet contractual commitments.

  • Insure compliant order entry processes.

  • Ensure Global Trade compliance for aftermarket material orders.

  • Logistical planning including global warehousing footprint, negotiating 3PL provider expectations, and setting priority for logistics team.

  • Review priorities with global repair operations to insure material availability.

  • Develop and review operational and financial metrics, and define & complete corrective actions.

  • Control GAM finished-goods inventory per capital budget.

  • Provide management and technical expertise to employees and leadership regarding GAM operations & aftermarket parts ordering.

  • Providing guidance to direct reports, comprising managers and inventory planners.

  • Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the team.

  • Guiding the talent identification and development processes for the team.

  • Working across functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals.

  • Interacting with senior management for reporting.

  • Working with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning.

  • Communicating financial and goal results and key performance indicators to direct reports.

  • Facilitating goal-level creation for the broader function and working with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all workers.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

  • Must have prior leadership/supervisory experience.

  • Experience developing LRP (Long Range Planning) and AOP (Annual Operating Plan) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Global Account Management experience.

  • Forecasting and planning experience.

  • Prior experience working with Global Trade.
