Job Summary:
Our Commodity Sourcing team within Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) at Raytheon has an excellent opportunity for a Commodity Sourcing Manager to join our Electronics Commodity team. In this role you will lead strategy development & execution, supplier selection, long term contract negotiation, and oversee key strategic supplier relationships.

The objective of the role is to assess the supply base, understand current requirements as well as future 5 – 10 year forecasts for Electronics (including Rigid and Flex PCB’s and Backplanes), engage with program stakeholders, recognize operational needs, and take proactive action to ensure the commodity meets the requirements of the business. Further, you will work to influence business critical decisions such as capital investments, strategic exits, and supply base consolidation.

This hybrid position may be based in Tucson, AZ; Dallas, TX, Andover, MA, Woburn, MA, Tewksbury, MA. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of a Raytheon site to be considered.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Develop and implement commodity strategies, to include savings opportunities, GMRE assessment, Risk and Opportunity analysis, supplier performance, emerging technologies while partnering cross functionally to meet customer needs.
Collaborate cross functionally to establish a "Grow, Maintain, Reduce, Exit (GMRE)” supplier strategy with detailed execution plans.
Identify capacity and manufacturing improvements through supplier investment opportunities to position supply base and Raytheon for additional business opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering product owners to align their technology roadmaps to supplier capabilities and Mission Area product/technology strategies.
Build relationships with supplier counterparts and executives to improve the supplier performance and to ensure alignment with our current execution and future business priorities and strategies.
Enhance/develop detailed working knowledge of PCB’s, Flex and Backplane manufacturing processes through hands on supplier site visits and close collaboration with Raytheon products/programs.

Basic Qualifications:  
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience.  
Ability to travel 25-40% domestically; some international travel may be required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Procurement, Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Performance Management, and/or Program Management experience.
Defense Industry Experience and familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
Working knowledge of Electronics commodity including manufacturing processes and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrix organization.
The ability to perform duties with minimal oversight; ability to understand the organization’s goals, set the strategy, and then determine the tactical tasks to achieve success.
Strong communication skills.
