We are currently searching for an Industrial Engineering Technician to join our team in Wilson, NC. This position primarily supports the Industrial Engineers in process improvement and implementation of lean principles to the production line. Successful candidates must be effective in communication and working with internal stakeholders including but not limited to quality assurance, assembly operators, shop floor leads, industrial engineers, design engineers, and production supervisors.
Primary Responsibilities:

Works in collaboration with Industrial Engineers with process improvement utilizing Lean Tools. Some examples being: generate time studies and establish takt time, define standard work, line balancing, improve workflow, 5S, participate in product transfers, RCCA, etc.

Preparation of diagrams, graphs and charts to illustrate routing, workflow, floor layouts and procedure of material handling and use of machine.

Supports Industrial Engineers in the development and deployment of efficient systems to integrate into production processes, machines, material requirements, and information to achieve optimal manufacturing processes.

Support creation and maintenance of process and Operator Preventive Maintenance (OpPM) documentation.

Supports adherence to site Change Control Board process.

Demonstrates a sense of urgency, prudent risk-taking and adaptive response to challenges.

Understands job functions of other team members outside of the IE Technicians.

Works complex issues, independently with minimal supervision.

Understanding and ability to apply lean concepts in the manufacturing environment.

Works closely with engineering and cross functional teams to evaluate documentation.

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
-
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Critical thinking skills paired with strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
-
Ability to work under pressure, independent and self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles.
-
Experience with manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, SAP, Solumina, and basic production flow.

Prior manufacturing experience is desired but not required.
