We are looking for talented and passionate engineers to join our Compression Systems Engineering team. We’re seeking an experienced structures engineer to provide technical & analytical support for structures on military fan modules, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of engine components. Specific structural engineering specialties may include static and dynamic stress analysis of airfoils, rotors, and cases, and fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments. Analyses may include both classical methods and detailed FEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- A senior engineer will be expected to provide analytical results and technical solutions from preliminary design through engine development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service; participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight; and plan and cover validation testing (engine & rig) and data-reduction.
- Other duties include supporting production and in-service field investigations. Lastly, experienced structures engineers will coordinate with others to advance the technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods, plus document and present results to management and external customers.
- This is a hybrid position working at our Middletown, CT campus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or in a related field and 5+ years of prior relevant experience, OR
- Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or in a related field and 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Travel up to 10%.

- Proficiency in structural finite element methods
- Focus on results and the ability to drive tasks to completion.
- Demonstrated success working effectively in fast-paced, team environment.
- Demonstrated success working independently to accomplish project goals.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging excellent written and oral communication skills required to convey results and ideas effectively to drive business.
