Job Description:

Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control, diagnostic, and power & thermal management systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of development, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation.  We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.

As CDS is a multidisciplined organization, this pipeline posting covering a several technical areas and more experienced roles with varying scopes of responsibilities.   

These positions are based at the P&W East Hartford or West Palm beach facilities as both full time on-site and hybrid roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical outcomes in one of several disciplines towards the development of complex control, thermal, diagnostic and software systems. 
  • Participate in the development of product strategies, technology roadmaps
  • Drive continuous improvement in both product and development processes
  • Interface with commercial & defense customers and suppliers
  • Mentorship of earlier career associates

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer or Data Sciences
  • 5+ years (3 year with MS degree) of relevant experience in physical/system modeling, software development or data analytics
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Looking for experiences in any of the following areas:

  • Familiarity with agile development methods
  • Strong collaboration & communication skills
  • Systems engineering
  • Software design and verification
  • Embedded systems
  • Data analytics/science and machine learning
  • Linear & non-linear control theory
  • Physics-based modeling covering propulsion, fuel, air, thermal and/or electrical systems
  • Air or vapor cycle machines
  • Product cybersecurity
  • Experience with aviation application & regulatory standards a plus
