WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are looking for a talented Engineer with experience of leading software integraton / project delivery.  This is an opportunity to lead others coordinating activities inclusive of planning, development, testing, and validation along with engaging and influence project stakeholders. 

 

You'll also get to collaborate with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Software Delivery Engineers and In-house Software teams plus external suppliers to secure 'on- time' releases for our partnership applications.

 

You'll get to be part of enabling the delivery of JLR’s next generation Battery Management Control Module (BMCM).

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead on communication of software status, functionality and timings

  • Coordinate daily activities to deliver all assigned application projects

  • Lead on programme requirements, evaluate resource impacts and build plan accordingly

  • Lead product issue resolutions

  • Maintain project plans, resource usage trackers, reporting project status

  • Lead interactions across our propulsion domain.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

You'll be an engineer by profession. This is a role that requires leadership capabilities (of the team aiding project deivery along with a mindset to challenge / collaborate, engage and influence stakeholders).  You'll also need to demonstrate that you have Project Managed the embedding of software projects within a diverse cross-functional teams.

 

Other requirements being:

  • Demonstrable capability of cross functional co-ordination and management

  • Experience of presenting to senior management and directions in appropriate forums

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work; fully invested in achieving a successful result.

  • You view things as a team rather than individual project level, considering the wider team needs.

  • Previous experience in Powertrain technical project leadership and track record of successful delivery
