Software Project Manager - Advanced Safety

You will  be playing a critical role within Aptiv’s Global Product Organization focusing on developing product and technologies into the  Advanced Driver Assistance Systems area within software focused entity. Within this role you will drive the development of critical software product development initiative aligned with the newest market demand. Software Project Manager in Global Product Organization is an exciting role that offers lots of opportunities to grow and expand over time as you gather invaluable experience. You will have full responsibility to deliver Software Platform Products to our best customer.

 

Your Role:

  • Planning and execution of projects to be completed on time, on budget, and per customer requirements.

  • Monitor release of the product solution and facilitate all technical decisions that go across multiple scrum teams with team members of other disciplines or departments

  • Serve as communication point for internal product teams and ensure teams are aware of requirements, deliverables and timeline to design, develop, and implement solutions to address customer needs.

  • Document and present project status including cost, timing, and system performance metrics.

  • Lead engineering voice in agile ceremonies : Big Room Planning, Demo, Sprint planning for prioritization of the work and communication with external stakeholders

  • Identify root cause of a problem, develop a corrective action plan and lead the team to an effective resolution.

 

Your Background:

  • MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Control, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics or similar 

  • 5+ years’ experience managing cross-functional projects with internal & external customers

  • Experience with agile software development process and Project Management tools ( i.e. Jira, Confluence)

  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, automated release processes

  • Ability to demonstrate technical problem solving skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (PowerPoint) in English

 

Nice to have (but not necessarily required)

  • Experience in software development using C/C++, Python, Matlab 

  • ASPICE and Functional Safety experience

  • Analytical skills relevant to automotive algorithm design and testing

  • Experience with customer requirements management tools ( e.g. Polarion)
