Job Description:
The primary function of this role is the development of applications and scripts to support Non-Destructive Test ( NDT ) inspections for aerospace components. The role includes requirements planning, design, development, debug, and test of new and existing inspection software. Image and data analysis are also a component of this role to support processing of inspections. This is a great opportunity to work in a small cohesive team of dedicated professionals who value teamwork and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adherence to operational, safety and emergency procedures
- Review customer requirements to understand and document project scope and intent
- Document, design, develop and implement inspection software and related process utilities
- Create and enhance 2D and Volumetric inspection processing software
- Develop algorithms to enhance automation and reduce image review requirements
- Perform image analysis on inspection data as needed to support the business needs
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering or 3+ years with an advance degree
- US Citizenship required due to government contract
Preferred Qualifications:
- Development experience with C# and Python
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and administrative skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business software
- Knowledge of quality management systems including AS9100 is a plus
- Fluent in English
