This position supports the Trusted Mission Processing (TMP) product area within the Communications and Air Management Systems (CAMS) segment of Raytheon. TMP provides secured processing platforms and capabilities to both domestic and international customers. The TMP SW Architect will be responsible for developing and managing the software architecture for all TMP programs as well as providing guidance to program-level software architects. The role requires developing a TMP software roadmap and providing the leadership necessary to define new processes as well as enhancing existing processes across TMP with a focus on DevSecOps. This person will also serve as a direct interface to the customer during important customer reviews/meetings (i.e., when program SW architect leadership is insufficient). The communication and collaboration with the customer as well as with other engineering disciplines is required to ensure that SW architectures support TMP program's needs. It is imperative that the TMP SW Architect has the vision to see where SW architectures are evolving and how they provide adaptability for future capability enhancement.

The TMP SW Architect will be involved in business development, IRAD, and proposals. With the shift to more software centric systems, the SW architecture content is an extremely important facet in new pursuits. Creating the vision for innovative software baselines and then being able to effectively communicate that vision (to program management, potential customers, and the capture team) will require an experienced, highly effective SW Architect.

The TMP SW Architect will work with the technical leadership at TMP program startup ensuring that the software architecture is understood by all disciplines. In this program startup role, the TMP SW Architect will also lead the analysis of issues that directly affect the software architecture and potentially the hardware architecture. The successful candidate will have a systems level approach to resolving complex programs and the ability to convince leadership that the proposed solution is best for the company (including program cost and schedule as well as the technical solution).
