Job Summary:
Raytheon Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting our Electronic Warfare Systems product line. This is an exciting new role that will interface with the Integrated Product Team Lead, Chief Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved. The selected candidate should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:

You will perform functional decomposition of requirements to meet system and domain level needs.
-
You will participate in system engineering artifact reviews.
-
You will conduct performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies.
-
You will manage and maintain assigned documents in accordance with established systems engineering and configuration management procedures.

You will provide clarification of requirements to the software development team.
-
You will support the team in preparation and conduct of program reviews.
-
You will complete assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior EW/Radar systems design and requirements engineering experience
-
Experience in conduction data analysis and generation results
-
Experience in radar threat analysis, EW technique development/analysis, and technical baseline administration
-
Experience in systems engineering process development and deployment.
-
Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams.

Experienced presenter preparing and presenting reports and briefings both orally and written.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
-
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
-
Experience with DevSecOps delivery pipelines and software development principals
-
Experience with tools such as Matlab/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence

Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management experience.
-
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
