WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are looking to recruit for an Experience System’s Engineer. The Lead System Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary systems engineering team which are responsible for the functional definition of Driver Information functionality for current and future vehicle architectures, both “On-Board” the vehicle and Off-Board in Cloud environments. They will be responsible for the generation and maintenance of the systems engineering requirements in the Traceable Requirements Management system (TRM) and model-based engineering tools (Catia Magic Systems) and ensure that requirements meet the required quality standards for content and traceability.

 

The main purpose of this role is to be the Lead System Engineer responsible for delivering the integrated sub systems elements, which include the system architectures, systems and sub-system artefacts, software requirements, a set of related components or software into vehicle programmes. Responsibilities include ensuring the content is properly specified, the supplier delivers against this specification and that the delivered system is fully verified for inclusion on a vehicle program meeting the programme requirements for quality, cost and time.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for delivering the system architecture/ sub-system/system/feature or software being developed to meet the business requirements on time with appropriate quality and at the right cost

  • Support the planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes, using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles in conjunction with other company processes as required

  • Support teams in conflict and issue resolution within the Domain and across functions

  • Work towards the Domain performance and facilitate or escalate cross module / cross Domian problem resolution on all programme aspects of content delivery, including virtual build, physical build and launch support

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Ability to decompose logical requirements into system/subsystem requirements

  •  Experience of developing systems through Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approach

  • High proficiency in requirements definition and requirements management tools (ideally Traceable Requirements Management system (TRM)).

  • Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.

  • Experience of developing technical requirements specifications and associated test plans
