Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Sustainability Analyst - Data and Quality to join our team in Berkeley, MO or Mesa, AZ.

As a Sustainability Analyst in Data & Quality you will help address the growing demand for sustainability and climate-related data, in order to meet our disclosure requirements and enable insightful and quality forecasting, planning and performance against enterprise objectives.  This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills, take on a new challenge, and contribute to the betterment of the company and the world!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Enabling stakeholder engagement to make decisions based on quality data, trends, and business needs.
  • Standardizing sustainability planning and forecasting processes for reporting and operational sustainability targets related to greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting, energy, water, solid and hazardous waste.
  • Combining statistical analysis and systems knowledge to provide quality and insightful data management and adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices (i.e.: GHG Protocol, TCFD alignment, etc.). 
  • Building linked processes to tie enterprise operational sustainability targets to numerous business structures across the globe, enabling accountability.
  • Developing methods to track progress to plan and estimate the impact of environmental activities to meet enterprise operational sustainability targets. 
  • Supporting the development of our global data infrastructure to collect, analyze, and report on energy, water, solid and hazardous waste, and GHG data.
  • Responding to data, planning, reporting and audit queries, as needed.
  • Ensuring data quality through various verification processes in collaboration with data originators and subject matter experts.
  • Enable visibility of sustainability metrics in support of operational sustainability targets.
  • Proactively improve existing approaches and processes.
  • Troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause, and recommend solutions to ensure timely data access and data quality.
  • Represent Boeing and the Global Enterprise Sustainability organization at internal and external global stakeholder engagements.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Currently 2-3 days a week.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience with analytics and data visualization
  • 5+ years of experience building and sorting through complex data sets
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions
  • Experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership
  • Experience working in ambiguous and fast changing environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability data modeling, analysis, and/or reporting
  • Experience with data systems, including Enablon, Workiva, and Tableau, or other data collection & visualization tools
  • Master’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Data Analysis or related professional certifications
  • Familiarity with sustainability/climate reporting frameworks, and standards
  • Experience working on an Agile team and with Agile concepts
  • Experience in managing and mapping sustainability and working with sustainability data models

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $114,750 - $155,250
