AWW Shift hours will be 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM from Friday through Sunday

Summary:

The Senior Supervisor, Quality Assurance - AWW Shift is responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity

  • Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components

  • Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner

  • Execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives

  • Have flexibility relative to department assignment and requires availability on all shifts; travel 10% or less required

  • Understand and report daily production; allocate/reallocate inspectors according to business needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, production, program/project management or quality environment or an Associate's Degree and minimum 7 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, production, program/project management or quality environment or in lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, production, program/project management or quality environment

  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching

  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures

  • Demonstrated flexibility / adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize

  • Working knowledge of new product / process technologies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
