Job Summary:
Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join its team as a Senior Project Leader (P3) for 30K Externals. The engineer will be responsible for parts (ex. Tubes, Brackets, etc.) within the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). Key activities include task planning and execution to ensure the IPT achieves overall component goals. This role will include direct interfacing opportunities with engineering management, program management, suppliers, and customers. Technical proficiency and effective communication skills will enable the engineer to meet the demands of the 30K engine programs. Experience in design, manufacture, development, validation, entry into service and field support is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Accountable to CIPT for part level ownership, risk management and execution to program requirements.

Support the IPT through successful technical and program reviews.
-
Support IPT budget and schedule to program requirements.
-
Support IPT technical and business metrics.
-
Participate in Customer, System Integrated Product Team (SIPT), Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT) and Senior Management interaction and presentations.

10% Travel Required
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
-
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industry; OR an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.

U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering strongly preferred.
-
Aerospace or Turbofan Engine industry experience highly preferred.
-
Basic understanding the P&W Leadership Operating Model (LOM) or similar.
-
Able to effectively lead, influence and coordinate across teams in strategic projects and initiatives.

Working knowledge of P&W Engineering Change process
-
Organizational and Project-Management skills (PMP certification preferred).
-
Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics for broad audience.

Continuous Improvement experience, and/or CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training.
-
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, SAP, Teamcenter, etc.
