Job Summary:
The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).
The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) Department supports Raytheon by providing world class technical expertise and engineering stakeholders to facilitate the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems, Sensors, and Effectors. The LWMDS department guides all aspects of Systems Engineering that facilitate the development of complex systems to support Raytheon’s Land and Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) and Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) business areas from our McKinney, Texas location. LWMDS Department Systems Engineers solve technical problems at the System of System (SoS), System, Subsystem, and Component levels. Key technical domains include: Architecture, Requirements, Interface Definition, Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Network Design, and Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.

This is an On-Site role in McKinney, Texas
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- You will perform Systems Engineering activities on the Multi-Function Radar Frequency System (MFRFS) Product Line.
- You will be responsible for facilitating program implementation, systems engineering implementation and shaping the MFRFS Product Line through architecture, requirements, interface definition and collaboration with stakeholders such as customers and engineers from outside of Raytheon.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10)+ years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline, with experience in the areas below:
- Experience with Radar, Missile Defense Systems, or other related systems engineering experience
- An active and current DoD US Security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace.
- Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems including radar, interceptor, Command and Control systems
- Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS)
- Experience using DOORs
- Exceptional collaboration skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
