Key Responsibilities:

The Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station manages the Very Low Frequency Antenna Mission System for the Royal Australian and United States Navies and is critically important to global military communications.

Your role, located in Adelaide or Henderson as part of the Integrated Product Team, is to work alongside other specialist engineers to execute engineering design and development activities, develop trade studies, solution options, through life management plans, engineering change management activities, system health monitoring, risk and schedule management in a fast paced and dynamic environment using civil and military technologies.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree Qualified in relevant Engineering disciplines with eligibility to hold Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) standing and a level of Design Authority delegation to support system Design Certification activities.
  • Ideally 10 years’ experience in Systems Engineering involving one or more of the following: requirements definition, requirements management, analysis, design, integration and verification.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.
  • Knowledge of project management milestones coupled with the ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision to deliver completed work according to scheduled commitments.
  • Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
  • Applicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.
