This position requires strong algorithm development skills as well as strong software prototyping skills to drive technical solutions during all phases of capture and development. As a Senior Principal Algorithm Developer – Multifunction RF Systems, you will be responsible for the planning, development, validation, and communication of the respective capability on a pursuit, program, IRAD or other business investment and will work directly in all phases of multifunction RF system capability development activities.

This position is an onsite role in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • You will support the customer in defining their capability needs, principles, context, and scope; support program leadership in translating those needs into appropriate mathematical models as well as into quantifiable and verifiable requirements and technical metrics; use those artifacts to converge on an implementation; and implement algorithms into software.

  • You will support the evaluation of implementation alternatives/trade-offs, the development of mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor capability implementations, as well as the documentation of the desired algorithmic implementation including how the algorithm ties into the larger capability architecture.

  • You will contribute to building and maintaining a team infrastructure to enable efficiency to include tools, templates, and contribute to the capability development repository.

  • You will support requirements allocation, decomposition, and tracing activities to ensure scope alignment and appropriate distribution to technical elements.

  • You will support the planning of advanced algorithm development activities throughout the capture phase through collaboration with and support to the Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team Lead (SE IPTL), Lead Systems Engineer (LSE), and/or Chief Engineer (CE) in the development of Technical Volumes for pursuit efforts.
