Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is looking for individuals with a track record in Microwave RF design to work within the Receiver / Exciter Hardware Design Group for Airborne Radars.

A successful candidate will be experienced working in a fast moving environment involving detailed design, analysis, trade studies, simulation, test and integration of RF and Microwave circuits, Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Oscillators, Mixed Signal Assemblies, and similar Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs). Candidate must possess ability in utilizing CAD Tools, Modelling /Simulation tools & methods, and have detailed experience using lab equipment.

Design and test experience in high frequency circuits ranging from baseband to millimeter wave is desired. Work experience in designing Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs) and/or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Radio Frequency Assemblies (RFAs), Module and Unit level experience along with a broad understanding of Receiver Exciters and System’s level requirements is preferred, although a mixture of such experiences is acceptable.

Candidate should be able to work from requirements to finished product & will be tasked to solve complex technical issues and work in the design and trades of various component selections including Amplifiers, Mixers, Switches, Diodes, and filters. Candidate will design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts, conduct testing and integration, integrate with suppliers, and see the product through prototyping and production phases.

US Citizenship is required with an ACTIVE US DoD Secret (or higher) Security Clearance on Day One of employment

Required Skills:

•8+ years of related technical experience in RF/Microwave circuits

•Hands on experience in the design, analysis, development, bread-boarding, troubleshooting, and testing & integration of Microwave RF circuits, CCAs & IMAs.

•Experience in software tools: Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable

•Experience in lab equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters

•Active DoD Secret (or higher) Security Clearance

•Partial telecommuting allowed

Desired Skills:

•Hands on experience with Oscillators and/or Mixed Signal assemblies.

•Experience in system’s level software tools including Keysight Genesys or SystemVue

•Experience working with Matlab

•Mentor eXpedition or similar layout tools experience

Required Education:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
