Senior Planning Engineer

Job Description:

The position is part of the services delivered in Tailored Services Packages (TSP) and is a member of AIRBUS Flight Hour Services (FHS) organization.

The Senior Planning Engineer must have the ability to direct the team and regulate task assignee for the overall maintenance planning activities. The jobholder shall provide strong technical support and interface to the customer and MRO. He/She should have an advance to expert’s level of knowledge on different Maintenance Planning functions. The Senior Planning Engineer drives changes and continuous improvement to bring the organization to the required standard.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare Monthly KPI Performance Review and Report to represent the achievements. Identify improvements in the contractual and operational commitments to the Customer. Also, drive and identify project improvement plans and cost saving initiative for the company

  • Acts as a Team Leader to supervise and manage a team of experienced Maintenance Planners.

  • Ensures that each team member has clear objectives, job definitions and competencies.

  • Ensures that training and development plans for members are deployed.

  • Ensures and applies ethics and compliance export control and safety guidelines

  • Develops good working relationship with the customer.

  • Adapts Ways of Working between the different departments within the Scoot TSP (i.e. Engineering, Technical Records, FHS, Base Maintenance MROs, FHS-ESC etc.)

  • Supports, where and when necessary, new TSP-EIS and or other TSPs

  • Ensures that contractual KPIs are met.

  • Supports strategies for the continuous improvement of methods and procedures. Deploying and industrializing tools to drive efficiency.

  • Leads Maintenance Planning related projects, performs task designation to the team, and ensures that the team meets the KPIs and standards.

  • Attends to customer concerns and inquiries

  • Oversights the Planning Engineer’s work and ensure the procedures are in place to meet contractual obligations.

  • Ensures that the Maintenance Information System is up to date

  • Supports Engineering and Commercial teams to avoid potential source of delays and wastages in the fleet management

  • Supports Operations and Engineering teams on optimized campaign programs to improve the Reliability of the fleet.

  • Provides short term and long term maintenance tasks forecast to customer for accomplishment.

  • Oversees the MRO’s performance on the execution of all the planned maintenance activities.

  • Ensures quality of reports provided to internal and external customers.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as designated by the HO Planning

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning

  • Engineering background preferably in Aerospace / Aeronautical

  • Experience in Airline Operations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Excellent level of spoken and written English

  • Knowledge of regulations constraints

  • Ability to plan, organize and analyze

  • Good communications skill and customer oriented

  • Capacity to work in unstable / under set-up environment

  • Ability to work independently, and as a team player
