Job Summary:

The Systems Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).

The Integrated Air & Missile Defense Systems (IAMDS) Department is seeking a talented Senior Multi-Disciplined Engineer to join the NCR NASAMS (National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System) team in Pelham, NH.

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Independent self-starter and able to work reliably without supervision, but also a team player.
  • Experience with Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and Cisco Systems.
  • Ability to integrate hardware and software into tactical and test environments.
  • Test Equipment & Troubleshooting – Competently utilize technical information (manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics), common hand & power tools, and test equipment on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds and perform work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Assist Field Technicians service and maintenance work.
  • Ability to emplace NASAMS tactical equipment.
  • General understanding of primary cybersecurity policy information including DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Interest in working across engineering disciplines (Primarily Software, but also Electrical, Mechanical, Systems).
  • Willingness to Travel (10-15%).
  • Willingness to venture outside comfort zone.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Programming and scripting experience.
  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g. CompTIA Security+) certification prior to starting or within six months of hire date.
  • Experience with power generation, distribution, design, and general troubleshooting.
  • VxWorks experience.
  • Explosive Ordnance handling experience.
  • Ability to obtain crane certification and willingness to operate.
  • C programming and Scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Bash, Perl)
  • Cisco Networking experience.
  • Prior experience with military weapons, radar, communication, or fire control systems. (Specifically: NASAMS, SLAMRAAM/AMRAAM, HAWK, PATRIOT, Fire Control Systems or SHORAAD, Sentinel Radar Systems).
  • Existing, or the ability to obtain, a DoD issued Secret US Security Clearance.
