Job Summary:

The Raytheon business unit is seeking a Test Engineer. This position is based in Goleta, CA and will support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules associated with radar and communications products. 

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Development and maintenance of Test Procedures, root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues (hardware and test equipment), maintenance and sustainment of Test Equipment 

• Development of procedures and test measurement techniques for evaluation of hardware issues

• Laboratory system/subsystem test setup, Special Test Equipment and preparing system/subsystem test documentation (e.g. plans, procedures and reports)

• Ability to understand and interpret Acceptance Test Requirements

•Hardware experience of; conducting tests with associated tasks of performance test analysis, test planning, verification and validation testing   

• Interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams of program management and system design, electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers

   

Basic Qualifications:

 • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

• Experience working with circuit card manufacturing or related experience

• Test and troubleshooting of RF Test systems experience to include airborne and/or space system test, integration verification and validation testing, product transition to production or relatable experience.   

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

    •  Experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis on Digital circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated equipment

    • Understanding of radar theory and application    

    • Production experience in commercial and/or defense industries; production support, troubleshooting, and factory improvement initiatives

    • Prior experience with fabrication, integration, verification, and validation for a complex EW system

    • Lab experience with Logic analyzers, Time Domain Reflectometers, Vector Signal Analyzer and Generators

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
