The Senior Manager of Crew and Specialty Seating Supply Chain will report to John Webb, Senior Director of Aircraft Seating Supply Chain. This position will lead the Supply Chain team responsible for the performance of both tactical and strategic aspects of the supply chain which include having a thorough understanding of the overall business plan and long-term sales and marketing strategy so he/she can ensure that the supplier base is capable of supporting the future of the business.
The role will be based in Colorado Springs, CO, USA and is eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor team members in order to cultivate a best-in-class supply chain organization
- Develop and maintain a worldwide supplier base that is capable of providing products of the highest quality, on time, at the lowest possible cost
- Develop strategic relationships with a targeted global supplier base in Asia, Eastern Europe, and North and South America, with integration across portfolio business units
- Work with Engineering leadership to ensure development programs take into account preferred suppliers and ensure optimum value engineering is implemented prior to released design.
- Work closely with the Collins Aerospace Central Commodity team on strategic sourcing activities
- Integrate large scale cost savings and drive those through the business unit
- Support enterprise initiatives and develop global sourcing strategies for a range of commodities; ensure those are migrated into the existing supply chain with minimum interruption and maximum cost reduction
- Review and ensure that the appropriate financial metrics are monitored and that proper fiscal controls are in place to maximize cost savings throughout the function
- Participate in the development of the process and system changes necessary to enhance Supply Chain performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from an accredited university
- Knowledge of aircraft interiors
- APICS/CPIM certification
- Depth and breadth of knowledge in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain activities
- Deep understanding of the SI&OP process with specific expertise in supply and demand planning, forecasting and master scheduling
- Understanding of critical commodities such as plastics, electronics, metals and machined parts
- Deep knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, processes and procedures
- SAP Experience
- Experience in the Aerospace Industry
- Experience successfully managing a workforce

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
