As a Global Supplier Development Senior Manager, you will have responsibility to 1) lead a team of Supplier Development Engineers to drive supplier improvement to achieve 100% OTD, Zero Defects and sustained performance, 2) Manage up to $500M in supplier spend 3) Set strategy for and manage up to 2-3 Complex critical suppliers and be the point of contact for more than 50 non critical suppliers.

This individual will work a hybrid role at our Windsor Locks, CT location..

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive delivery and quality performance for up to 20 critical suppliers, and be the point of contact for more than 50 non critical suppliers

  • Create and execute 6-18 months strategic plan for the team

  • Provide leadership to drive supplier Performance+ across the Region

  • Lead execution of Supplier Development Playbook, and take actions to address critical near term as well as long term, sustained improvement gaps

  • Mentor members of the team and ensure each individual has an Individual Development Plan that will address skills needed for their role as well as long term career ambitions

  • Communicate team strategic plans and actions to address missed targets to Regional Leader, and the Global Supplier Development Director as needed

  • Drive cross functional, and BU engagement to remove roadblocks necessary to improve supplier performance

  • Eliminate any risks that will prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets, and escalate as needed

  • Schedule and lead critical supplier reviews with SBU leadership and operations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • Overnight travel 20% and Day travel 50%

  •  4+ years of experience in Engineering/Supply Chain/Manufacturing or related area with a continued proven track record of performance achievement and growth, with increased level of responsibility in an operations environment

  • 2+ years of prior leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other Business related field. Master’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • Experience in working with suppliers

  • Experience developing suppliers and supplier relationships

  • Knowledge of supply chain management in the Aerospace organization

  • Project/program Management
