Senior Manager – Advanced Technology and Laboratories

We are on the quest for a strategic and results-driven leader to captain our Advanced Technology and Laboratories (ATL) section. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise across a myriad of technological landscapes, a notable tenure in research and development leadership, and a profound understanding of the TRL/MRL (Technology Readiness Level/Manufacturing Readiness Level) systems. This pivotal role calls for a visionary who can lead multi-disciplinary teams, catalyze innovation, and ensure operational excellence within the vast realm of advanced technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and the operational direction.
  • Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus (e.g., 1-2 years).
  • Manages a team of primarily experienced professionals. Oversee the ATL team to ensure effective operation of Industry 4.0 related research and development projects.
  • Mentor multiple teams within the ATL, ensuring streamlined R&D project execution.
  • Drive the application and management of TRL/MRL frameworks across the technological spectrum.
  • Cultivate collaboration between the ATL and other organizational units, ensuring aligned technology exploration efforts.
  • Shape the financial trajectory of the ATL, with an emphasis on maximizing value and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Monitor and act decisively on key performance indicators (KPIs) pertinent to ATL's endeavors.
  • Champion continuous learning and professional elevation for all ATL team members.
  • Ensure ATL's steadfast compliance with all safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Perform any other duties as required to support business needs.
  • Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Comprehensive leadership experience in a technologically diversified environment.
  • Deep understanding of multiple technology domains and their practical implementations.
  • Deploying and managing TRL/MRL frameworks for progressive technological development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in spearheading significant projects and utilizing advanced project management tools.
  • Solid grasp of intricate technological processes and quality assurance measures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics and discerning business insights.
  • Strong fiscal management skills and experience in budgetary oversight.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Technology, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in technology-centric roles, with 6 years in senior managerial or leadership capacities.
  • A proven track record in pioneering and scaling technology initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related sector.
  • Certification in Project Management or Technology Leadership (PgMP, CTP, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience in leading-edge, agile technological environments.
  • Acumen in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and other renowned improvement strategies.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
